About Me
I have been both therapist and client. As both, it is difficult to put words to the experience of what therapy is. I often find myself at a loss when asked what therapy is, and how it ‘works’. But I know from experience that it does.
Therapy is complex and deeply individual. I don’t assume that I ‘know’ what is right choice for my clients, I believe that we all have choice and agency to make decisions. I also recognise that when faced with life events, and the choices (or the feeling of not having a choice) that they bring can feel overwhelming. I believe that I can help you to uncover what drives your choices and think about how you would like to live going forward.
I have an MSc. in Psychology and, although this informs my practice in some way, I focus my psychotherapeutic practice on existential philosophy and work using phenomenology.
My previous work experience was as a corporate Human Resources Manager, and so I understand the stresses and strains of working as a woman in business. I have lived and worked in Singapore and Belgium and have experience of being in a cross-cultural relationship.
